General: I discovered my love of climbing when my dad first took me to my local wall, aged seven. Being an adventurous child and spending much of my time off the ground climbing trees, climbing rock was a natural progression, especially as I became older and it became about pushing boundaries and creating a challenge to keep me inspired. As with anything, generally if you excel at something, it gives a great love, enjoyment and sense of achievement.
Competitions: I have been competing in climbing competitions since 2007 where in the BRYCS I came 1st in the regional rounds and 2nd in the national final. Since then I have continued to climb for fun and also entered many regional and local competitions, consistently coming within the top three. During my time at university I have entered university competitions, representing the University of Exeter. I have consistently come 1st and 2nd at The Climbing Academy competitions, Bristol, 1st in the Barn competitions, Devon, and 3rd at BUCS.
